The Great Glen Way starts in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands and Scotland’s newest city. It was opened by Prince Andrew in April 2002. It follows Britain’s greatest geological fault the glen linking the Atlantic to the North Sea along Loch Ness and finishes in Fort William in the shadow of Ben Nevis.
