Hurricane Force Winds Stop Participants from Reaching the Summit of Ben Nevis

On Saturday 26 October Charitytrek held their last Ben Nevis Challenge of the 2008 season on behalf of Epilepsy Action.

On what can only be described as some of the worst weather conditions ever experienced on the Ben participants were subjected to driving rain and hurricane force winds forecast to be gusting at up to 120mph on the upper slopes.

Saltmine Trust Ben Nevis Challenge

The Saltmine Trust Ben Nevis Challenge was held on Saturday 11 October 2008.

It was a day when participants prepared for the worst after looking at the weather forecast but although wet and windy at the start the day improved as the day went on.

Congratulations to everyone taking part from the Charitytrek team on a great effort.

It was an extremely wet and unpleasant morning on Saturday 27 September when 34 participants gathered at Achintee at the foot of Ben Nevis ready to take part in Charitytrek’s Open Ben Nevis Challenge all in aid of their favourite charities.

Charities benefitting from their efforts included Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes UK, CORD, The Prostate Cancer Charity and Holly Hedge Dog Sanctuary.

17 successfully complete the Inca Trail - Peru
