Treks in Thailand
Our jungle trek starts north of Chiang Mai where the terrain is mainly comprised of jungles and mountains which are home to the hilltribes. The 5 day trek will see participants trekking through the rugged jungle discovering some of Thailand’s natural beauty and experiencing life amongst Thailand’s different hilltribes.
There are six main hilltribes found in Northern Thailand, the Lahu, Akh, Lisu, Hmong, Mien and Karen. Each tribe is divided into clans or sub-groups, which have distinct customs, rituals and clothing.
Participants will also have the opportunity to view spectacular waterfalls, experience bamboo rafting on the Ping River and elephant riding as well as learning the secrets of Thai cooking.
Following our trek we will spend three days in Bangkok which offers not only the cosmopolitan amenities which you would expect from other big cities, but also a unique treasure trove of cultural attractions including the Royal Grand Palace.
